If you’ve ever had a toothache and couldn’t get in to see a dentist right away, you now have a glimpse of the long-term pain many of our clients endure. The difference is, most of us are able to see our dentist within a day or two when there is an emergency but for many uninsured adults, the wait could be months or even years. The reason? Samaritan Dental Clinic is the only full-service charitable dental clinic in Northwest Arkansas.
Serving uninsured adults who cannot afford to purchase dental care, our clinic utilizes both volunteer and staff dentists, hygienists and oral surgeons to provide a full range of dental services to our patients.
When a patient is initially scheduled in our clinic, they receive x-rays and an initial exam by our staff dentist who then develops an oral treatment plan specific to that patient’s health needs and interest in receiving restorative care. Follow-up appointments are then scheduled to complete restorative care, extractions, oral surgery and cleanings as needed.
